Fried Clams Article

The lead article in the NYT food section yesterday was all about fried clams.

The author, of course, went to Clam Box, Woodman's and other shacks in the area. Although the author had nothing bad to say about Woodman's, he waxed on about the "bellies dripped sweet, briny clam juice down my chin," at the Clam Box. 

The other interesting thing he notes is that only Woodman's and Essex seafood continue to fry in lard. 

It might be time to revisit Woodman's.
