I haven’t been purposefully neglecting you, dear reader, there has just been a dearth of notable dining in my life. It’s a combination of me trying to eat healthier and a bridge tournament in Sturbridge (aka culinary wasteland) last weekend. My teammates made me go to the Piccadilly Pub (shudder!).
But, I did try Trader Joe’s Baked Onion Rings and wanted to tell you about them. I love TJ’s – they always have new and interesting products that are fairly inexpensive and unique. Remember Funyons, the fake onion ring snack of your youth? They are similar, but less greasy with a hint of sweetness. I’m a fan. However, don’t be fooled by the “baked” label – at 150 calories a serving they are just as bad as potato chips.
