Tournesol, Long Island City

After a morning of walking around Chelsea Market and the Hell’s Kitchen flea market, we were ready for brunch. Tournesol is a small French Bistro. I ordered the eggs Florentine and it came with a nicely dressed salad, but mediocre fries. My eggs were perfectly poached and the spinach was tasty. The baguette slices in the bread basket were excellent – we managed to polish off 2 baskets. The prices are reasonable (all brunch dishes were under $10) and our service was considerate and understanding of the two young children we had with us.
