More Meat CSA

Jes and her two adorable girls came over for brunch on Sunday. I served a baked French toast with spiced rum sauce (managed to burn myself,
not once, but twice), bagels, bacon and sausage from the CSA. The bacon was sliced thick and nice and smoky, however, I don't think it's better than the Niman Ranch Bacon I usually get. The breakfast sausage was excellent. I shaped the pound of meat in to five patties and browned them on both sides and then put a little water in the pan and covered it. I let it cook for about 10 minutes. The sausage was thick and meaty, nicely spiced with a great sage flavor. I will definitely order extra breakfast sausage next time.


Now all I have to do is figure out how I want to cook the fresh ham steaks.
