Anyone who knows me can tell you that I have an addiction, an All-Clad addiction. I can’t help it, I see the beautiful stainless steel surface and the long elegant handle and the desire builds. I have been known to buy pieces that I have absolutely no need for, but it was such a good deal, I couldn’t help myself. I sometimes have to sneak them in to the house just to avoid R’s head shaking and eye rolling. I’ve slowly built my collection up over the years, waiting and watching for the pots and pans needed to fill the holes in my collection. I’m now at 23 pieces (that includes lids). I’ve found that TJ Maxx and Marshall’s occasionally have a couple of pieces, and if you check back often enough, you’ll find a good deal on them

 

Sales on All-Clad are rare; once in a while William-Sonoma or Crate and Barrel will discount a pan, but not often. However, I was at the Wrentham premium outlets this weekend and at the William Sonoma they are have a 25% off sale on all bakeware, which includes their whole All-Clad collection. So, if you have been waiting to upgrade your pots and pans, this is a good opportunity to do it.

 

What are the essentials? I think that everyone should have a 2 quart and 4 quart saucepan, a 13 inch fry pan, a large deep sauté pan, a 12 quart stockpot and 6-10 quart Dutch oven (I prefer Le Creuset for that). I also love my 4 quart saucier, but I recognize not everyone needs one. Everything else is just icing on the cake, (or gravy that you made in your saucier).

 

I do want to say that I managed to walk away from the outlet without buying a single piece of All-Clad. My willpower is strong.
