Nicola Pizza House, Arlington

Nicola’s is a family run pizza and sub shop that has been around for 36 years. They advertise “watering homemade Italian dishes, Sandwiches and Specialty Pizza's” and they do not disappoint. We had a thin crust pepperoni and mushroom pizza and a veal parm sub. The pizza had a nice crust, with good texture and chew and a flavorful sauce. The mushrooms were fresh, which is benchmark for any pizza joint (if you see canned mushrooms, turn around and run to another pizza place). The veal was also fresh and very tasty. R is very happy, we’ve found a new pizza standby.

They offer thin and thick crust pizza. We’ll have to try the thick crust next time, along with the calzones.
