Let’s get one thing straight; it’s not a lobster roll, it’s a lobster sandwich. We can get in to a whole debate about butter versus mayo, or top split versus side split buns. Lobster roll lovers will argue over these questions till the cows come home. But if we call it a lobster sandwich, we can avoid all these issues.
Alive and Kickin’ does a nice sandwich; there is a generous amount of lobster with big chunks of claw and tail meat and it’s served on buttered toasted Italian scali bread. There is no filler (lettuce, celery, etc.) anywhere in sight. It’s half the price of B&G’s lobster roll and just as good if not better. $12 will get you a sandwich and a bag of ruffles.
