I was waiting for my bridge game to start and a bottle of beer is set in front of me. I look quizzically at Paul, bearer of the beer, and he informs me that it is for my 100 things to try list. It is 8% ABV. Now I know technically the list states above 85, but as far as I'm concerned, this is close enough.
I tucked it in to my purse (because God knows my bridge game certainly does not need to be anymore impaired than it already is) and I tried it during one of the marathon long baseball games. It was a pumpkin ale; it's label claimed it was full of pumpkin goodness and cinnamon and other spices, but I couldn't distinguish any of those flavors. I'm not a beer drinker, so I'm sure all the nuances were lost on me. Chucky, who drank 95% of the bottle, informed me that it was definiely pumpkiny.
Thank you, Paul, for the beer. I appreciate the help in achieving the goal.
